The National Defence University of Ghana is established as a multi-disciplinary higher education institution to supervise the provision of academic and professional security education and training for personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces, other security agencies, public service institutions, and government departments and agencies.
Its main functions are research, education, and societal impact, with responsibility for coordinating tertiary education across its colleges and awarding certificates in the name of the National Defence University for programmes sanctioned by GTEC.
Undertakes postgraduate programmes in defence, international politics, and security studies.
Offers postgraduate programmes in gender, peace, conflict, and security.
Offers the Master of Arts in Strategic Studies for senior military and security leaders.
